Here Comes the Pitch

How to describe Viglo to new people

Now that I'm settled in Buenos Aires it's time to fully commit myself to Viglo, and what I need most right now are users to give me feedback. One thing I'm not sure about is in what way to describe Viglo to new users. Do I pitch Viglo as a video chat program that incorporates AI technology? Or do I start with Viglo's vision that we are trying to instill mental toughness into the student's psyche? The first description is less abstract than the second, and encompasses a broader number of people (simply Spanish learners in general). I'll be able to get more datapoints of feedback, and maybe it'll attract language learners who didn't know they wanted a more "tough approach" to language learning until they experienced it. But how much should I care about the feedback of people who dislike the "tough approach"?

On the other hand, the second message is truly what I want to convey, and I should practice delivering that kind of message sooner so that I can figure out the best way to pitch it. Furthermore, people who DO respond to the second delivery are more likely to stick with Viglo as we work on the raw methodology, since they believe in Viglo's unique and demanding vision that you won't find in other language programs.

While writing the above I got an idea.... I could use social media advertisements to create an AB test with the two different descriptions and see where the most responses come from. Then I will create a datasheet to show me which students are the best when they finally DO try Viglo. This is something I will get to work on later today!
